1. Who we are
Next Music Group ("Next", "we", "us") provides music distribution, publishing administration and label services to artists, labels and rights holders worldwide. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, our client portal at portal.nextmusicgroup.com, and the services we provide to our clients.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us, apply to partner with us, or become a client, we collect what you provide: name, email address, phone number, artist or label name, links to your music and social profiles, and the content of your messages. Clients additionally provide the information needed to run their account — release metadata, songwriter and collaborator details, tax information and payout details (such as bank or payment-service information) required to pay royalties.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive basic technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring page. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and interaction data to distinguish humans from bots, subject to Google's own privacy policy.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (in aggregate) and, where applicable, to measure the performance of our advertising. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out tools.
3. How we use your information
We use personal data to: respond to enquiries and evaluate partnership submissions; provide our distribution, publishing and label services; register works with stores, platforms and collection societies; calculate and pay royalties; comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations; secure our website and prevent fraud or abuse; and improve our services. Where we send marketing communications, you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. How we share it
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where the service requires it: with digital platforms, stores and collection societies as part of delivering releases and registering works; with service providers who operate our infrastructure (hosting, forms, email, analytics, payments) under appropriate safeguards; with professional advisers where necessary; and with authorities where the law requires it. Royalty and split information is shared with the collaborators you name on a release, to the extent needed to administer those splits.
5. International transfers
We operate globally, and the platforms and societies we work with are located around the world. Where personal data crosses borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.
6. Retention
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to handle your request. Client and royalty data is retained for the life of the client relationship and afterwards for as long as accounting, tax and rights-administration obligations require.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies: those necessary for the site to function, and analytics cookies as described above. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@nextmusicgroup.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Children
Our services are directed at adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Minors may only use our services through a parent or legal guardian.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected in the date above. Questions about this policy or our data practices: support@nextmusicgroup.com.
This policy is provided as a starting point and is not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional for the jurisdictions in which you operate.
