Masters and publishing rights stay with the artist or label — we administer, we don't acquire.

Clear, itemized statements every month, down to the platform and territory.

How we work

From signing to global reach, in four moves.

01 / Sign

Sign & develop

A&R identifies artists and writers worth building around, then shapes a release and creative plan together with them.

02 / Distribute

Release & distribute

Marketing and distribution take the work to every major platform and retailer, on a schedule you control.

03 / Collect

Collect & license

Publishing registers every work worldwide and pursues sync placements so royalties are collected in full, everywhere.

04 / Protect

Monitor & defend

We watch for unauthorized use and piracy and issue takedowns, so the catalog stays protected as it grows.

FAQ

Questions labels & artists ask us most.

Distribution is how a song gets from a hard drive onto every platform people actually listen on. We deliver releases to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and 150+ other DSPs, handling metadata, artwork, and release timing so a track shows up correctly everywhere at once.

As DSPs report streaming and sales activity, we collect those royalties on the artist's or label's behalf and reconcile them against itemized statements. Every source of income is tracked and reported monthly, so there's a clear line from a stream to a payout.

Yes. Artists and labels retain ownership of their masters and compositions unless a different arrangement is agreed to in writing. Our role is to administer, distribute, and protect the work — not to take it.

Publishing administration covers registering songwriting works with collection societies worldwide, pursuing sync and licensing opportunities, and protecting the underlying composition — separate from the recording itself.

Typical turnaround is 2–7 days depending on the platform, though we recommend submitting at least two weeks ahead for releases that need playlist pitching or marketing lead time.

Royalties are paid out monthly, following each DSP's own reporting cycle. Statements are available in the royalty portal as soon as a payout cycle closes.
Testimonials

Labels & artists on working with Next.

A few words from the people whose catalogs we run alongside.

Next never made me choose between staying independent and having a real team behind me. My masters are still mine — everything else just got easier.

Mara Lune
Recording artist, Cobalt Hour Records

Royalty statements used to take weeks to make sense of. With Next, I can see exactly what's owed and where it's coming from, every month.

Desmond Okafor
Producer & songwriter, Kingdom Static

Our sync placement came through their publishing team within a month of signing. That kind of speed usually only happens at the majors.
